Beginner:
He’s not sure how to get started as a male ally so he begins by reading and studying great male allyship guide books like “Good Guys, How Men Can Be Better Allies for Women in the Workplace,” by David Smith and Brad Johnson.
Intermediate:
He supports women in meetings when they are interrupted or credit for their ideas are taken by another man. He speaks up on their behalf and stops these men dead in their tracks.
Advanced:
He has developed the courage and knowledge base to be willing and able to advocate for his female colleagues with ease and stop other men when they make a sexist joke or remarks in a meeting or informal gathering.
Virtuoso:
He’s still reading and studying! He sees the big picture and works as an agent of change in his organization and advocates for positive systemic improvements for women.
